VERIFYING LOT OWNERSHIP

Before placing an ad on the properties website, we want to make sure someone else isn’t renting out or selling your property. To know that you are who you say you are, we request that you send us the phone number and email address that you have registered with Happy Trails. (You are not required to use the same phone number or email address in your ad; this is just for verification.)

Once ownership is verified you will receive further instructions via email – including login credentials.

If you are advertising more than one lot, each lot needs separate verification.

LOGGING IN

1. Click on the “Log In” link in the red section near the top right corner.

2. Enter your username and password.

3. Optionally, check “Remember Me” box.

4. Click on “Log In” button.

Note that after logging in, you will be on the home page.

To create a new ad, see “Creating Your Ad” below.

To edit an existing ad, see “Editing Your Ad” below.


LOGGING OUT

Click on “Log Out” link in the red section near the top.


CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD

1. After logging in, click on your login name near the top right corner.

2. Select “Edit Profile” from the dropdown menu.

3. Scroll near bottom and click on “Set New Password”.

4. Click the blue “Update Profile” button at the bottom.


CREATING YOUR AD

1. After logging in, click on “Post an Ad” button.

1. Click on “+New” near the upper left corner.

2. Select “Post” from dropdown menu.

3. Enter the title of your ad where it says “Enter title here”.

4. Enter a detailed description in the large white text field.

Make sure you are in “Visual” mode (select the Visual tab – above the upper right corner of the large white text field).

FYI: “Text” mode is where you can see (and even modify – if you are so inclined) HTML code that describes the layout of your description. If you are interested in learning something about HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language), click HERE.

5. Upload one or more images.

IMPORTANT: The first photo in the list will be the one that displays in the primary image frame. If you need to change Photo 1, delete the current photo and choose the correct one.

6. Check the appropriate category for your ad: For Sale – RV Lot, For Sale – NonRV Lot, For Rent – RV Lot, For Rent – NonRV Lot

7. In the ‘PublishPress Future’ section, optionally enable the ad expiration date. (Leave unchecked to never automatically expire.) Also, select expiration disposition: Draft, Delete (still retrievable) or Trash (not retrievable).

8. Tags: IGNORE

9. Optionally (near the bottom of the page) fill in the Phone, Email and Price fields. (If you decide not to fill in any of these fields, be sure that this information is in the detailed description.)

10. At the bottom you will see the Membership Protection dialog. IGNORE!!!

11. If satisfied with the ad and wish to see it before publishing, click the “Preview” button. (Note that the preview opens under a separate browser tab so to return to editing mode, close the preview tab and open the tab that starts with “Add New Post”.

12. If ready to publish, click the blue “Publish” button; otherwise, click the blue “Save draft” button to return later.


EDITING YOUR AD

1. Log in and click on”Site Admin” near the upper right corner.

2. Hover over “Posts” on the black side menu and click on “All Posts”.

3. Hover over title of ad to be edited and select “Edit” below title.

4. Make changes.

5. If satisfied with the ad and wish to see it before publishing, click the “Preview” button.

Note that the preview opens under a separate browser tab so to return to editing mode, close the preview tab and open the tab that starts with “Edit Post”.

6. If ready to publish, click blue “Update” button; otherwise click blue “Save draft” button to return later.


REMOVING YOUR PHOTOS

1. After logging in, click on “Site Admin” near upper right corner.

2. Hover over “Posts” on the left side menu and select “All Posts”.

3. Hover over the title of your ad and click on “Edit” just below the title.

4. Click the “Remove” box next to the photos to be removed.

5. Click the blue “Update” button.


DISABLING YOUR AD (without deleting it)

1. After logging in, click on “Site Admin” near upper right corner.

2. Hover over “Posts” on the left side menu and select “All Posts”.

3. Hover over the title of your ad and click on “Edit” just below the title.

4. On the “Status” line in the “Publish” box, click on the “Edit” link.

5. Select “Draft” from the dropdown menu and click “OK”.

6. Click the blue “Update” button.


DELETING YOUR AD

1. After logging in, click on “Site Admin” near upper right corner.

2. Hover over “Posts” on the left side menu and select “All Posts”.

3. Hover over the title of your ad and click on “Trash” just below the title.


RESTORING A DELETED AD

1. After logging in, click on “Site Admin” near upper right corner.

2. Hover over “Posts” on the left side menu and select “All Posts”.

3. Click on the “Trash” link above the list.

4. Hover over the title of your deleted ad and click on “Restore” just below the title.
